Copycat Fragrance review thread

I was considering trying this company however, there seems to be a lot of negative reviews on both Google and Trustpilot. People have ordered the samples, found them to be very good, but then after purchasing the full bottles, they have been a far inferior product.
Anyone have any experience of this?

I had a sample & then bought full size & both same strength

I have almost all of their 'homage' fragrances and there has never been any difference between sample and full-size.

Would you happen to have any additional thoughts on the Halfeti clone, "Pehn"?

CopyCat have got some new fragrances in - I decided to buy a sample of their interpretation of Tom Ford's Noir Extreme. It's really nice but really lacks the depth of the real thing. I'll happily wear this in the colder months because as a standalone fragrance it's nice, but to my nose it's not all that comparable to Noir Extreme. Pretty good projection on it though, that is the one thing that it does better than NE.

Anyone else bought anything from them recently?

I noticed these..

I quite fancy trying (Lost) Cherry and maybe 'Bois Marocain'.

Anyone else?

Hello all,

I have ordered the Aventus clone from Copy Cat in April and last month. For the price I think its great! Definitely got compliments from both bottles. After so long I cannot smell it on myself but depending on the time frame others can. I recently ordered a sample of the Baccarat Rouge 540 and that lasted all day! Never smelt the original but it does smell lovely and made me order a 50ml. Alongside that I have Tom Fords Oud Wood sample on the way so will see what that is like. Not sure I have smelt an Oud before, herd its a different smell so will see how it goes.

So, a bit of an update.

My bottle of Oud Intense is now 2 years old and still smells good, but it’s running out and I’m going to have to replace it in the near future.

I’ve been trying to tidy up my shaving stuff and in the process I came across a sample bottle of ADP Oud Intensa, which is probably about the same age as the Copycat so decided to repeat the experiment.

Straight off, the ADP scent is stronger and somehow more “Oud-y”. In comparison the Copycat still smells great, but not quite as intense. The slight difference I noted when they were both new is now more noticeable.

Over the course of the day the difference in intensity persisted, the ADP was always just that bit more intense. Both scents lasted for several hours, easily a whole day or evening.

None of this is to suggest that the Copycat smells in any way bad, it doesn’t, it still smells fantastic, but as both scents have aged, the ADP seems to have retained it’s depth better. Given the price differential, this is not a surprise. The surprise is, given the price differential, that the difference is not more pronounced.

In conclusion, I’d say that the Copycat was fantastic value for money, but if you have a lot of scents to choose from, so that some are hanging around on the shelf for a good while, maybe you would be better off buying the original rather than the homage.

I just took delivery today of a sample of GI - the Green Irish Tweed Clone

I own a 100ml bottle of the real article, so I am well placed to make a comparison.

GI smells similar to Green Irish Tweed, but there are some definite differences. It is more ozonic, and slightly more artificial smelling.
It has less green too it (unlike Atlantis Green Irish Tweed, another clone, which is very green indeed)

It's pleasant, but I find it to be very similar to Cool Water. I'm not sure I'd want to pay what they're asking for something that could easily be mistaken for the much cheaper Davidoff Alternative.

I'm quite fond of one of the dupe fragrances I've tried, AR Fragrances (Asorock Fragrances). Despite being a newcomer in the dupe fragrance in the market, their scent is remarkably similar to the authentic designer fragrance. Their versions of Creed Aventus and Chanel Bleu are among the finest dupe fragrances I've experimented with recently!
