Hi again just me again! So the bump stopper cream has worked wonders and they have faded quite a lot which is fantastic. However after a couple of days of shaving im still getting quite an irritable itchy neck which i cant help but scratch. Im not sure why as the bumps dont seem to be reappearing as much, would this class more as a shaving rash? Ive been applying calomine lotion which has worked slightly but would you recommend trying to ride the wave and not shave as will the itch subside after a few days? Thanks in advance and happy new year
Brill thank you Mark are these much better for sensitive skin? I will have to look up a few videos in advance to learn the technique!Hallelujah! Welcome Dan, there are a number of excellent choices take a look at Muhle and Edwin Jagger. Depending on price and what your looking for you will be spoilt for choice. I'm not R89 and R41 are amongst my favourites. Happy shopping let us know what you go for. Good luck.
I wasnt thinking directly of the R41, as it is more aggressive, I suppose it depends on what you want. I am sure between us, we will get another happy shaver.....I would categorically not recommend an R41 as your first DE razor - they're very efficient/aggressive
Edwin Jagger DE89 or Muhle R89 are considered to be very beginner friendly
They share the same head geometry and give the same shave
Dan, I'd jump on the kind offer of ATG and if you do and your in the UK, I can send you a variety of blades to start you off (and probably a brush).
Let me know what you think?
Good luck
Mark
We all need to start somewhere within the brotherhood. I had a few people help me out all those years ago. I don't know about you but I have stock I'll never probably get through. It may as well go to a good home....I assumed (which you should never do I'm often told) Dan is UK based so thanks Mark for mentioning that and lovely gesture offering blade choices.
