I have a nice quality brush and razor stand - the one in my avatar - but am experiencing problems with a build up of tarnish if I leave it out in the bathroom. Given that the whole idea of a stand is to display things and that a brush needs to dry in an open space, this is a vexing problem. I make sure to put them away whilst showering and then get them out again when the bathroom is free of the majority of condensation. Does anyone have the same experience and more importantly, any ideas as to how it can be avoided?

I use a silver polishing cloth on mine every few weeks, it removes all the tarnish quite well.

I'd use peek metal polish which is a non abrasive metal polish then prob a spot of wax over the top just to seal it.
