Brush of the day.

Trying out this 'Benecos' synthetic brush - liked look of it in a shop a while back, and ended up getting it very cheap just recently
Handles well, pleasant enough on face, but no escaping the very narrow knot... takes more time, energy, focus etc. to build a lather and then some of the lather can end up spilling down onto the handle during the shave
Needs big performance during next shave or two or probably ends up a display / vibes brush

So you bought a cheapo brush and expected stellar performance???

Didn't give any suggestion that I expected stellar performance. It's simply a short appraisal of a brush that retails, by itself, for about 15 euro. Would a Wilkinson Sword brush (quite similar) have been acceptable? What's the 'price of admission' for this thread?

A brush can only do what it's physically capable of doing. Anyone can post here and anyone can comment, you're free to disagree.

Appreciate your response. 'Needs big performance' really means, I have to see how well I can manage / work around its limitations (especially the lather-leaking). Maybe there'll be something less 'foamy' I can use it with. I don't really mind if I have to take slightly longer to build lather with it (will probably become muscle memory anyway).
