Il second that, regular plasters are useless but blister plasters are excellent and provide instant relief, I had this a few weeks back and could of run a marathon once I put those on..will never be without a pack nowHeel blisters are usually caused by the stiffness of new shoe soles, usually flex increases with use,...Sorry, use Compeed plasters until they break in.
This is my approach if I suffer the pain of ze blisters.Heel blisters are usually caused by the stiffness of new shoe soles, usually flex increases with use,...Sorry, use Compeed plasters until they break in.
If the shoe is leather lined you could rub in on the inside a few drops of Neats foot oil (rub in to leather where you want it softened up) it will make it supple and speed up the break in process .I have recently bought a pair of very nice Ted Baker brogues. Great at fitting, great on the first wearing but suffered a nasty gash on my heel the second time out.
Even though I think my choice of sock didn't help (50/50 synthetic) any hints how I could soften the back of the shoe?
Any help very appreciated as it is a shame they felt so good at the start and they are beautifully made
When I was a kid my dad would pour clear alcohol like votka in the shoe and let it soak right before you would use it. The alcohol evaporates quickly but the shoe would take the shape of your foot.
It works every time though the shoe has to be 100% leather.
