Paul Erano has written two really good books on fountain pens which I have, worth a Google, there are Parker focused books on the Duofold, Vacumatic and Parker 51, by David Shepherd, although they are now about £40 a shot, a chap called Jonathan Steinberg has also written a couple of fountain pen books which are good. A bloke in the States also used to do reprints of fountain pen catalogues from the famous manufacturers of the golden age, Bill Acker he is called, not sure if he stil does them though.i seem to be gathering a few fountain pens now ( not helped by the great posts on this site!) and wondered if anyone here has gone to the lengths of buying a book on collectable fountain pens and general upkeep. If so anyone able to
Recommend a good book?
Take a look at the Reference Pages of Richard Binder's website (http://www.richardspens.com). He covers a vast array of topics from individual fountain pen models to inks and filling systems to name a few.
I've not bought any of his books, but I do find the Reference Pages of his website a very comprehensive resource and quite entertaining.I've heard good things about his books - and I like that you can buy digital versions of them to keep on your tablet/phone/whatnot.
I'm thinking about getting vol 1 and 4 (2 and 3 seems to be more focused on restoration/repair)
Both seem to be around $6-7 each on Amazon
Vol I:
Vol 4:
As luck would have it, Massdrop has 2nr books by Andreas Lambrou listed at the minute.

You do pay a bit extra for a signed copy, but he is the man...I have the option to buy the Andreas Lambrou book about UK and US pens - new, signed special edition (the first 1000) for $47.50.
Should I?
