I appreciate what Fido has said before in his comparisom of a badger brush being a Lexus and a boar being a Ford Escort.

The 1305 is a Subaru Impreza WRX ;)

Ian,

Funny you mention that. Great minds think alike. I'm in the process of compiling a review where Omega 21047 is Speed MX-5 of compact brushes while it's brother 599 is S2000. The New Forest is the STi of Badgers ( compared to ones used anyway ). From STi standpoint you've a $33-34k vehicle versus 200-300k modern exotic. STi is essentially a watered down WRC with its renowned Symmetrical AWD, Boxer engine, Turbo ( twin-scroll in Japan ), and from economic view decent gas consumption compared to other supercars at 18/24.
According to Motortrend or some other reputable magazine it can keep up if not beat a couple Ferraris in 360 and 550 respectively IIRC.
I don't know what it's like nor do I care to know what it's like to have a $200-$400k vehicle. But the mere joy of being able to drive all season year round-rain or shine and tackle the mountain passes at 60-65MPH on 25 MPH turns is mind boggling and true elation at its finest.
Not to mention I don't have to worry about vehicle overheating on traffic jams and what not.

If you can't drive a 200k vehicle the way you want to-only to be confined to restrictions and certain roads, that's not fit to be called a "supercar."

As of late I've been researching these highly sought after Badger brushes from likes of Simpsons, Plisson and Rooney. The latter unfortunately can only be acquired via two vendors here in the states. After playing around with the Forest I realized something:
very much like Subaru's SPACED technology, the New Forest is

Safe - to say it's a badass brush
Performance - scrubby AKA the Exfoliator
Appearance - simple and functional
Comfort & Convenience - soft massaging tips
Economy - $40 vs $80-$200 of "similar" grade
Durability - hasn't failed me yet

If the New Forest brushes scheduled for future release is just as orgasmic as 2201, it's going to be formidable foe.

New Forest High Mountain White? I reckon if that's nearly identical to the ones people paid $200-$400 for, the aforementioned vendors will surely have tough competition.

BTW for those griping about the logo it sure is a bummer that indeed it will fade eventually. Guess what fella? I have both Omega and Simpsons brush and you're not alone.

I reckon the only way to counteract this is to be careful not allow lather to get into the logo. Impossible?

Well I've ordered it from Bruno at Vintage Scent so should hopefully have it in a week or so. Thanks again to forum members for all the advice and comparisons.
