Hi guys IV only ever used one boar brush it was a thater boar and I hated it was so stiff and rough, what do you think the best quality boar knot is money no option?
Ok thanks for the info I can't find nothing on Nisse Handel's ? I was looking at heritage collection gel boar knots have you heard about them?If you want soft and floppy, then a bleached Zenith is the way to go - I struggled to get it to hold a lather though.
IMO, the best for performance of all the ones I have tried/owned is a 24mm/55mm unbleached unbanded Omegas eg 10066 when they break in (use the fridge method to break it in).
Just have a look at Nisse's homebrew handles with Omega knots. Beautiful.
You have to use it to break it in, the tips split and it feels softer.Hi guys IV only ever used one boar brush it was a thater boar and I hated it was so stiff and rough, what do you think the best quality boar knot is money no option?

Ok I didn't know that, is there no expensive boar knots ? They all seem cheap? For example badger have different grades from cheap to expensiveNisse is a user on this forum and if you look at the second post on the 2nd page of this thread you can see one of his homemade brushes with an Omega knot.

Would spending more make you feel better? I can buy one and sell it to you at a 300% markup if you like.Ok I didn't know that, is there no expensive boar knots ? They all seem cheap? For example badger have different grades from cheap to expensive

This is just another example proving that good shaving equipment doesn't have to be expensive, in fact stupid money often just gets you average stuff.
