Blackland's new Sabre

The best GEM razor on the market. Period, stop. An exquisite shave this morning with the L3 side that delivered a 2.5 pass BBS finish with no fanfare or inconvenience that can potentially rear its head in any shave exercise. A very composed, smooth & deliciously efficient process from start to finish. Adjustable on the flip. A definite top 10 razor in my experience regardless of format and the king of GEM bladed whisker whackers that offers versatility, ease of use and top notch performance oriented results. Competition? If it’s there, I haven’t seen it yet.

Just an excellent shave this evening. First shave with a brand new GEM PTFE installed and nothing to complain about. The slightest of harshness at the outset but, by the 3rd pass for buffing, it was easy peasy.

Just giving a little love to the Sabre V2. Used the L3 plate set up for this morning’s shave and just an incredibly good experience. An excellent 2.5 pass shave that almost felt that it was on autopilot from start to finish.I hadn’t used it in some time but, I picked up right were I left off a couple months back and it was as if I have been shaving with it exclusively. Easy to hold and find that perfect balance that is practically 2nd nature. Perhaps my familiarity with the OG Sabre helps significantly but, the V2 simply feels intuitive in my hands and delivers a knockout shave smoothness, authority & ease of use. All subjective based on my personal experience alone with this revamped Blackland beauty. In the SE GEM world, I consider it to be a juggernaut in its class. The versatility that it offers in shave levels, the balance and symmetry of its design and world class manufacturing & performance attributes is just literally unmatched. There is simply no other GEM produced razor before or presently since the V2 was released that offers the customization within your shave that the Sabre V2 delivers. The OG was exceptionally good and I still own one and use it. However, the V2 is just on another level and for me is the pinnacle in GEM razor design & performance.

I sound like a homer but, it simply is that good. I’ve been deliberating the thought of how would it would work & feel if it were in the Ti allo version. It’s been in my cart for a few days now just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. But, I’m real close….
