Beware where you dry your shaving soap!

I have been using Signature soaps for a while now and took advice to let them dry out after use, makes sense to stop them going rancid etc.

I've been placing them on my windowsill to get some air on them and it works great. I always wondered if the birds would be interested in them, as my dog certainly would like a taste.

Anyway, I did the normal thing today, left it by my window and went for a walk. I came home to find this:

Clearly a bird took this as an offer and got a good beakful of the stuff! I then saw on my window frame soap smeared all over the place as it clearly regretted its decision and tried to clean the stuff off!

I wonder if it got a good lather around it's beak?

I. Do this too, on a sunny window sill and it takes very good care of this soap which I like a lot. Leave my large badger brush beside the tin and it dries the brush a treat, leaving it like new.
Didn't occur to me to do it with the brush too.

I'd be pissed if a bird took a chunk out of that though!
