I'm the same, there is nothing more relaxing that a shower, shave, night shirt (I like them ) and then off to bed feeling clean relaxed and ready for pushing some Zzzs out!During lockdown, I've found that I'm increasingly likely to shower and shave in the evening and then lounge around in my dressing gown...basically ready for bed, even if it's still only around 7pm. The knowledge that no-one is likely to be visiting is remarkably liberating. One advantage of current circumstances at least!
Ha, no I do not have the matching cap but the "Magee" Irish night shirts are sooo comfortable and roomy !
Night shirt! Do you have a matching night cap?

Awww! You beat me to it!! I was thinking of something Scrooge-related
I have no idea but I don't see why not, they beat Jim jams for comfort! In fact...didn't James Bond always prefer a nightshirt?
Someone suggested that 'going commando' was the best way to sleep after a shave and a shower. I tried it but found that the smell of the camo paint clashed with my Proraso Green, and I couldn't turn over easily with a full bergen... and the boots?...just don't get me started on the boots!I have no idea but I don't see why not, they beat Jim jams for comfort!
I love all things Magee. I have a tweed coat of theirs and it is awesomeHa, no I do not have the matching cap but the "Magee" Irish night shirts are sooo comfortable and roomy !P.
Based on your comment and a quick bit of research (googling) I have placed an order for a couple of nightshirts...not Magee quality (half the price of one Magee for two) but I'm sure they will be worth a try. It's one of those things that I might decide is an entire crock or turns out to be an epiphany and I'll wonder why I never tried these before...we'll see if they help with my insomniaI have no idea but I don't see why not, they beat Jim jams for comfort!
Will you go commando underneath or will you put on a pair of tighty whiteys?Based on your comment and a quick bit of research (googling) I have placed an order for a couple of nightshirts...not Magee quality (half the price of one Magee for two) but I'm sure they will be worth a try. Mmmm...this question had crossed my mind and, ignoring the fact that it might be construed by the casual observer that your question is not far removed from a perv on the phone asking: 'what are you wearing tonight?', I shall respond thus: I would never wear anything under pyjamas and a nightshirt is effectively a replacement for pyjamas. I will go no further, sir, as I'm starting to feel a little uncomfortableWill you go commando underneath or will you put on a pair of tighty whiteys?
Apparently some people actually wear underwear underneath their pj's, that's almost as weird as the people who a a top sheet underneath their duvet cover..
