Cheers Gents. My experience is about the same. I have a Edwin Jagger imitation ivory handle for my Mach3 and love it to bits.
Connaught sell the 2 blade carts, although I wouldn't say they're cheap.I've been DE shaving after returning to wet shaving from electric a few months ago. Although my DE technique has been slowing improving I'm really not a morning person and find I take a long time to get the prep, shave and 'clean-up' right and thought I'd try a cartridge to see if it would speed (some of) the process up a bit. I'd read good things about the Gillette Sensor Excel cartridge on this Forum so scored a new one off ebay and - lo and behold - have found it gives a damn good shave in a shorter time. Same prep but the shave time is reduced and - yes - it's just all a bit easier (go ahead - shoot me). So, the question is, where is the best place to score the best replacement blades for it at the most reasonable price? Thanks.
I think I'll place an order with Connaught and buy a Razorpit too. Second shave with the Sensor this morning and it being a 'start of the week jobby' and therefore more of a test (I don't tend to shave at the weekend), I'm happy that a got a damn fine shave with my usual prep. A couple of nicks here and there but nothing that didn't stop after a quick face splash with cold water. I can see the Sensor becoming my go-to razor at this rate, and don't feel particularly inclined to complicate the issue by introducing more blades (i.e. trying a Mach 3 as well) into the equation right now tbh.Connaught sell the 2 blade carts, although I wouldn't say they're cheap.
Good show and if the Sensor becomes your daily driver, check out shavemac for a custom handle in resin. Makes DE shaving sound cheapThose Pils handles are lovely - but 125 Euro is a hell of a price!
I used Both of these for Many Years..I always Bought on Price at the Time as I always found it was Splitting Hairs..That said..I always did Prefer the Mach 3 for Smoothness & Longevity..Guys, any thoughts on the performance of the Sensor vs Mach3?

Bit left field this, I know, but I've found an online supplier who offers the Razorpit for £8.99 inc shipping - cheaper than a 10 pack of replacement blades. I'm wondering if it's worth taking a punt on one of these and seeing how long the couple of packaged blades last. Anyone used one or have any thoughts?
