Last night, I thought I'd try to capture both of our nearest galactic neighbours in a single image.

Last night was pretty clear, and I managed to start shooting at 18:15 & finished taking exposures at 23:15.

Another clear night yesterday meant that I could target NGC 281, aka the Pac-Man Nebula in Cassiopeia.
It was discovered in 1881, and is about 9200 light years away.
