I'm fortunate enough to have a South African shop that makes the stuff not that far from me.

Thanks Nick! Im going to try it, just got to make the box, i've got a lot of off cuts etc so should be able to make the box for almost free. Just need to buy the light

I must admit I have never tried Beef Jerky before, even though I have spent plenty of time abusing American facilities over the years. I think I will have to drop some in, next time I go to ASDA.

Haha no I would never do that! Well maybe if we had a spare somewhere

This project will start on Saturday, i've got an old wooden unit which I think I can modify to fit my purposes.

When I get home tonight I'll take a pic of it

But I make Biltong - this is about jerky... as any self-respecting South African will remind you - Jerky is not Biltong. Biltong is not Jerky.

Ideally yes, I have some wilderbeast and gazelle meat (also crocodile not for biltong but my favourite) coming in from Africa, should make some good game biltong.
