The news dates back to yesterday, but I only became aware of it today. There are important updates and significant changes in the production of Made in U.S.A. soaps, involving Barrister & Mann.
As announced in the official email received from B&M, over the next few weeks the entire production will be moved to the Stirling Soap facility.
Below is the official statement included in the email.

Hi everyone! Got a bunch of stuff going on and a few restocks, so we'll take these one at a time. First and foremost, you've probably noticed that we are out of stock on most of our shaving soaps and aftershave balms, plus a number of bar soaps too. It's pretty desolate out there at the moment. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel! We have, after a year of planning, begun packing up the production lab for shipment to its new location. We've crated and packed most of the equipment and begun prepping the remainder of our materials for travel. I suppose this is as good a time as any to announce that Stirling Soap will be taking over production of all Barrister and Mann products once we come back online in a few weeks. Rod and Mandy, the nice folks who run Stirling, are pillars of the community and renowned for their commitment quality. If you have never tried a Stirling product, you should. To be absolutely clear, they will be using our formulas and methods to make our products, and there will be absolutely no change in performance or presentation once it has resumed production under their care. We expect production to resume in a few weeks (I have to pay them a visit to teach them how to make our stuff), and will begin restocking everything on our site as soon as we possibly can. I'm really looking forward to visiting Arkansas and really excited to hand over my formulas to such a capable team!
I’m pleased to read this news; Stirling soaps are highly regarded.

Barrister & Mann is going out of business? Or are they just moving production to Stirling?
No, they are not going out of business.

It is only an agreement to outsource their soap production to Stirling company.
It seems they are moving the equipment, as the company has started dismantling its production lab and packing the machinery to transferit to Stirling Soap Company’s facilities in Arkansas. Barrister & Mann will simply continue to distribute and sell the soaps. At least that’s how I understood it.

B&M has only moved production to another co. as the owner's father (who assisted him) passed away and his elderly mother retired, no doubt out of grief.

Look on the bright side, now two of the best soaps in the USA are under one roof. Now if only they did one combo such as B&M Spice in sheep tallow!!
