Indeed. I wrote/edited the magazine before all of the shenanigans went down with B&B. I do not plan to go back and edit it. My words are still true- in the beginning they provided me a great place to get excited about my new hobby. I do owe them thanks... for that.

It is interesting to note that today, I got this message after re-registering on B&B forums (and posting nothing, mind you)...

Is that reply really for real? certainly not very nice. OK I know you maybe deserve a bit of stick for re-registering under a new name the response but that seems excessive.

To think I even became a contributor a few weeks ago! :shock:

Does anyone know how I go about leaving membership of this tainted forum? I have looked down the B&B control panel and can't see a way to do it. In future I will try to avoid visiting there. I'm sure that everything I need to know about shaving (not to mention life, the universe and everything) and be gleaned from The Shaving Room.

Just had a quick look at the CONUK members. Has anyone seen this already, but Letterk is a member there now! I suppose he's there to encourage members from the UK to buy their blade sample packs from America and not here. Bloody amazing! :shock:

Now why is this such a long thread? That probably says it all. I have found the B and B Mods a pretty stroppy lot - a clique who can take quite arbitrary decisions at times. I have had "robust exchanges" with them from time to time. They take a strict line with some folk who make money from small shaving businesses and actively promote others.

I do not go there often.

Sorry for bringing up an old post but tried to get on B&B this morning only to receive the following notice:

You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

Aside from a few semi-negative comments on here, mainly regarding CONUK or more generally about all Shaving Forums, there seems to be no reason why I should be banned.

What a bunch of cnuts!

I was told to post 25x before I'm allowed to sell on B&B. Then I was told by new CONUK admin in a private message (PM) to make it 50 posts. So, I went to the main forums and typed in 26 almost generic message and 20 mins later, I PM'd the admin and said I have 51 posts to my name so i can sell now. He said 'no probs, go ahead'.

I thought he's atleat ask how I gained 26 posts in a matter of 20 mins.
