I was lucky to have a mom that liked playing cards and she was really good at a bunch of games like gin rummy, hearts, and bridge. She taught me gin and hearts and I could hold my own with most players. Always played for cash to make things interesting, especially poker with my friends.
Dice games are a riot, and more so with 5-6 people playing. Liars dice, boss, threes away, and ship-captain-crew are all fun games and even better with lots of drinks and dope smoking!
Recently I've gotten back into online card playing after quitting for years. The only card game I now play is called pitch, or setback and is really sneaky, which I like. Helps keep my brain from getting any squishier....hopefully.
