Astra SP - Any Love?

Hi Guys
I bought a sample pack from Connaught ( a suggestion from the forum) I have tried a few of the blades now. I just tried this week the Astra SP and this has bean so far the pick of the bunch. It seems very efficient and no scratchiness, very smooth. I am using it in the Muhle R106

One of the first blade's I used and have always found them to be a good blade that seems to work well in most razors. Not everyone likes them but that's to be expected, we are all different!

They seem to be considered a good blade by many.
Personally I do enjoy them, and just like many people, use them as a benchmark for new razors

I think they're a good "medium" blade in terms of smoothness and sharpness. As with every other blade, of every type (DE and the SE varieties), an awful lot depends on the razor it's used in, but the Astra blades, both Green and Blue, seem to perform satisfactorily in most razors. I can't offhand think of any Russian blades which have absolutely no redeeming features.

The Astra SP was also one of the first blades i bought when i entered the wonderful world of traditional wet shaving....They have a great balance of sharpness & smoothness, and have paired together with all my DE razors.

Thanks, I followed your suggestion to get then sample pack,a couple of weeks ago, which was great. Connaught Customer Service is great ordered some stuff yesterday arrived today.

Good blade, more smooth than it is sharp.

My go to blade--but having said that, I put a Nacet in the razor for next week's shaves.

Astra SP are good, always smooth and should give 2-3 comfortable shaves.
Astra SS (blue pack) are better imo - just as smooth, and longer lasting.
Recently, @invicta posted an SOTD in which he had used an Astra SS for 12 shaves.
