AS & Co 1945 Military safety razor

Hi all,

Someone has given me a 3 piece safety razor, marked AS & CO 45, also stamped with the old Govenment arrow, (its not really my cup of tea), but its a nice razor, just wondering if anyone has any info on these razors

Not a Gillette or it would be stamped Gillette. The arrow would also make it not US issue. The base plate has the same design as the DE Star razor base. Now the ? Is did Star made DE razors for England in 1945?

Its definately UK govenment issue, as I regonise the arrow or crows foot as its sometimes called

I shaved with this razor yesterday, I've changed my mind, it is my cup of tea, a quality shave from a nearly 70 year old, mild/mid aggresive razor, well worth getting hold of if you can!

Those old ones are fun to use. (could have been used by my father when he was there in the '40's!)
