Are scents wasted on you?

I've a poor sense of smell and whilst I love to buy soap and creams when a scent sound good,I find the scent us fleeting and all products smell similar.
There are 2 exceptions. Acqua de parma and anything with menthol. Adp has menthol and these menthol based soaps give my face a very pleasant tingle.
Meissner Indian flavour used to be equally distinctive, but sadly this company no longer exists.
Any one else feel the same, or can anyone suggest some other products which I'd find distinctive feeling on my skin.

I don’t think scents are meant to have a distinctive feeling on your skin.
The tingling feeling you like is not caused by scent.
Sorry i’m confused & unsure what you mean
I think I'm saying that I'd like to use soaps which feel,in a nice way, different on my skin. Menthol does, so I need to find other types which do the same, but are not menthol based.

I tend to notice more in the post shave feel - e.g. tallow v non tallow. During lathering the only difference in skin feel I get depends on the brush I use, not so much the soap - unless it's a cream v a croap or hard soap or if I use a shaving stick

i can’t think of any other scents that make my face tingle although i do know what you mean.
Im like that with alcohol in my splashes.
Some have it some don’t but i do prefer it with,
My face doesn’t seem complete without it

Just thinking about this perhaps Bay Run with a rich clove scent would work

Scents are partly wasted on me. Ever since covid, my sense of smell has not been the same (most smells are weaker or worse than they used to be). I still persevere, and a few scents are nice, but not like they used to be.
