I have had two bottles of wine stored away that i got when i worked at a freight forwarders some years ago, i wondered if it was worth opening or leaving it for a while, i have had it since 1998...

it's this:

Comte Georges de Vogue, Chambolle-Musigny les Amoureuses 1992 Vintage



Any ideas on value ? as the 2005 Vintage is going for over € 500 a bottle :shock: :?

I have a mint box and bottle still sealed of 1999 Dom Perione..any idea whats that worth?..still sitting on an angle and in a nice dry place :mrgreen:

I haven't looked your wine up but there's no guarantee ageing will improve a wine at all. Vintage is everything and the same wine from different year's can also be poles apart in value as a consequence.

I know what I'd do, you have two bottles so I'd definitely open one for Xmas or a special occasion. If its worth drinking, it's worth saving.

92 was a terrible year, I´ll give you a tenner for it ... each
 
I remember reading a review of a blind tasting amongst some experts and Blue Nun came out on top...now there's a fantasy for you.

I've changed my mind, sell them both and buy a truck load of what you prefer to drink.

Thank you, I laughed out loud and good! :lol: :lol: :lol: Wow, that´s a blast from the past ... When young, in the suburbs, that wine was considered high class

I can't find a 92', either its very rare or it's very rare.

I know when i got them back in the "90's" the sales invoice showed them as £180 per bottle, there were only 3000 bottles produced that year...

Every wine supplier that came up in Google has it as "Out Of Stock" this is the description on one site:

1992 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses
Quite a deep core of ruby-red fruit, it’s only this respect that this and the ’88 Bonnes-Mares show any sign of age. The nose starts with a deep plum-skin that gradually becomes more red without ever coming close to the delineation or complexity of the ’99. Beautiful texture – this is 1st-class Burgundy. Amply proportioned, soft and sexy, this ‘lady in love’ has little time for the intellectual, but she’s very ‘ready’ now! A really lovely wine and frankly there’s no rush to consume – my best 1992 experience.
