Get a $10 Pre-war Tech and spend your money on boar brushes and hard puck soaps, if you can't get an amazing shave from a Tech the problem is you, and you can't fix that by buying another razor.
If you want another razor "just because" then go for it.
I'm sure you're right but I have plenty of soaps and have taken an animal rights stand to never buy animal hair brushes again...instead I'm going to destroy more fish by buying plastic/synthetic brushes only. All the money i save will go into a new Rockwell!Get a $10 Pre-war Tech and spend your money on boar brushes and hard puck soaps, if you can't get an amazing shave from a Tech the problem is you, and you can't fix that by buying another razor.

I had a tech and just didn't get on with it. I sold it on. The new owner is very happy with it. Any idea how they compare to slims or fats?Agreed, Tech the only razor you will ever need. Although I have 9 razors. I mostly have been using a Tech (fast show)
Aaaaaaaaaaagh! Tony'schin, Tony, Tones, Toe, T....WTF are you trying to do to me? I just settled on a Rockwell, whilst secretly craving the Rex, and I'm obviously at that vulnerable point of not having got either, and then you go and throw in your 'twopeneth'? Yeh. twopeneth of thickly lathered semtex under my finely balanced resolve, that now makes me desire the Rex even more!!!!My twopeneth.
1. Tried a few Parker razors, OK for the money - PIF'd or moved on.
2. 6S shaved ok, mainly used on plate 3 or 4, nice to play around with trying new blades - sold on.
3. Rex Ambassador - The best build quality DE I have, infinitely adjustable, easy to refine to any blade, poor blades become usable & tames the sharpest - it will stay with me for a very long time. YMMV.
Is it worth the coin? For me - - Hell Yeah!

I just hope you're happy with your casual attitude to the distress you have now caused. I thought this forum was a place for quiet meditation on a relaxing pastime among friends and fellow enthusiasts. How wrong I was.
Anyway, ..I'm late for my weekly WSA session (That's Wet Shavers Anonymous)
Swine. Absolute swine! You stick with your 6S
Why don't you just give me a paper cut and pour lemon juice on it!
Go vintage!OK, so now I've decided to hold my horses and give my brain a little time to settle before I decide.
Why don't you just give me a paper cut and pour lemon juice on it!Where's that 'report' button?...
Go vintage!?! I've just sold my 1961 Fatboy on this very site! If I wanted to go vintage...I'd have kept it. In fact even having one in the first place means that I'd already gone vintage and then gone past it and am trying to go more contemporary. Everyone is against me now!! It's a conspiracyGo vintage!
