Any snuff users on TSR?

Thank you, not as much as I had thought for chunky coin like that, modern coinage is so lightweight in comparison.

One of the reasons that crowns, which were the largest "silver" coin, fell out of general use and were then minted as commemorative coins, was the weight and size, and I expect the economics of producing such a hefty but low value coin for general circulation didn't add up. Of all the more recent commemorative crowns, many of which are for Royal anniversaries and so on, I think the Churchill is the most attractive.

The half-crown was an impressive coin, compared to the "shrapnel" of today.

I hope to see a photo of your snuff box when it arrives.
