I asked the seller how much to send the razor to UK, she says 8 euros.
I think fine that's reasonable, I'll bid on that.
Win the auction, not much, pay up.
Find out by chance the razor takes a proprietary blade system. Do'h! Oh well.
Seller says the postage will be 14 Euros now. Pay up or cancel she says.
I'll cancel thanks...phew.

The razor? A Gibbs adjustable. Frenchblade has one just in case you were thinking the same.

Which one was it?

...now you're going to tell me it can take ordinary D.E blades.

Shame Tony, they do come up on the bay now and then, but they seem to be more and more in demand. :?:

No, it doesn't take ordinary blades, you just need to cut a notch in standard DE blades (I use the dremel)
Price was allright, condition looks a bit dodgy though.

I have 2 of these (both boxed), one like in the photo, and one with a different knurling on the end cap.

Below some more pics of my nicest one. My other one is with a friend right now, he's playing with it. When I get it back, I might be willing to let it go :p
The last 2 pics are of the second one. (notice the knurling on the end handle is different)

The geek factor on this is quite high, it comes apart in lots of pieces, and easy to put back together again.

I got one for my collection, as I think it's something to have :) (I have way to many things in "my collection")

Thanks for pictures Max, it looks like a nice razor and quite a simple design. Actually it looks so simple I'm surprised nobody has imitated it but personally I don't want to be altering blades no matter how easy it is. What does it shave like? That head profile is so flat I reckon it's quite aggressive.
