No, it doesn't take ordinary blades, you just need to cut a notch in standard DE blades (I use the dremel)
Price was allright, condition looks a bit dodgy though.
I have 2 of these (both boxed), one like in the photo, and one with a different knurling on the end cap.
Below some more pics of my nicest one. My other one is with a friend right now, he's playing with it. When I get it back, I might be willing to let it go
The last 2 pics are of the second one. (notice the knurling on the end handle is different)
The geek factor on this is quite high, it comes apart in lots of pieces, and easy to put back together again.
I got one for my collection, as I think it's something to have
(I have way to many things in "my collection")
