Affordable Ultrasonic cleaners?

Given that I'm going to start selling quite a few razors on t'bay (generally purchased from murkey job lots), I'm contemplating buying one of the above and have two questions

1. Are they worth it!
2. Can you recommend any under £50?

Most of the guys on here have this model, this is just the first hit I found on the bay, shop around and you can find them cheaper so yes well under £50. Think I paid £25 and mine came with a bottle of cleaner solution for jewelery and some accessories.

Are they worth it? yes but they are not the panacea to a clean razor; but they do get into the nooks and crannies, just don't overuse it. I was tempted once to use rotary tools but there is no substitute for a good soaking and a good scrub with some elbow grease to polish it up.

Aldi did sell some re-badged versions of the above for £17.00 but who knows if they will ever stock them again.

£25.00 for one is a median price I'd say, good for getting crud out of the knurl.

These are amazing for getting crap and crud from the innards and detail parts of razors. A soak with warm soapy water in one if these gives great results. You have seen some of my razors and they are well cleaned if I do say so myself. The one in audio's post is the one I have. Bought of amazon for £23. Best investment in ages

So go buy one. NOW !

These guys have some nice ones: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/telmed/ I like the look of the 0,7L one in stainless steel.

Any washing up liquid will do the job

Steve :D

... so will white vinegar - for heavier duty jobs.

Mine is a different make/model, and has a smaller 'tank' (600ml), but still enough to do a half-dozen (or more - 6 was the most I've cleaned at one time in it) razors at one go.

SWMBA even admitted that the £12 (P&P included) spent was a very good buy indeed. She loves it for cleaning her jewelry and such bric-a-brac. She wouldn't mind her shinies cleaned (NOT a euphemism) every weekend, but I tell her:

            • "I'm not gonna clean all of those every frickin' week.
              • Give me a break!
                • Hey! It's my weekend too!
                  • Clean 'em yourself! What are your arms broken, or summat?!!"[/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u]

                        • ... but she keeps trying it on.[/list:u][/list:u]
                                • ... of course![/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u]
