Aesculapian Mundus. Jetter & Scheerer, Tuttlingen. Germany. TM c. 1903-1932. German Patent. Quick release. Silver plated. Later Jesco (hair clippers). In the beginning, Jesco still had the Aesculap logo, later it changed to something similar. A J&S in itself, which resembled a snake and instead of the crown, the logo had an orb (globus cruciger). Later B. Braun Melsungen AG majority shareholder.

In blade terms, it looks similar to Wardonia razors, which used the long-gone "barrel" blades on round posts. To use modern DE blades in my Wardonias, I have to do some strategic snipping and cutting to get them to fit. It's a very stylish razor to look at; lovely plating condition.
