As for the brush, I can't personally comment on it but a number of people like boar brushes. Omega do a large variety of brushes for not a lot of money which are very well received. Also worthwhile looking at the RazoRock synthetic brushes. They're exceptionally soft and don't require the same level of upkeep as an animal hair brush, plus they're particularly good at whipping up lather.
