Hehe, my first Plisson and it's adorable. Tiny thing...maybe size 8 or 10 that cleaned up nicely considering it's at least 30 years old. This was a BIN for $30 so how could I resist the purty vintage brush. The plan is getting this non floppy darling wet soon.

My first razor purchase this year and of course it had to be four at once!
Actually all I wanted from this set was the Eclipse Red Ring but I do like the hydro magic lever on the Schick 500...
The Old type is in really good nick as well, including the cardboard blades holder box.
The travel set was not mentioned in the seller's photos or description. I have a slightly rancid smelling shaving soap with the top inch cut off, a springy shaving brush, a hair brush and an aftershave bottle. Interestingly although there's no branding on the travel items there are what looks like Gillette date codes stamped inside the soap and brush holders - both C so 1957. And even the rusty Gillette Thin blade was a C1 date code.
The Eclispe is in great nick - just need to repaint the red ring on - and all the razors are de-bladed (as opposed to DE-bladed) and having a hot bath with washing up liquid! The ultrasonic cleaner may be excavated from its wardrobe resting place later on.

I’m pretty much done with A&E now i don’t like their a bases at all.
For me they were at the top of the tree to now i don’t give them a look
im perhaps being a bit stubborn but its bloody annoying

TBH as much as I like the PAA base I didn’t have any interest in this one as is classed as a bay rum esk soap however on first smell it smells amazing and smells exactly like BBS American Barbershop which I love. I’m quite looking forward to using it and have no doubt re slickness as PAA are all top drawer but will feedback thoughts.
