I recently picked up this nice Gillette No. 58

I've given it an initial cleaning and it's currently having a soak in some warm water and dish soap so hopefully it'll be good to go for tomorrow's shave.

Some different blades to try in the Yaqi Excalibur, may get the Feather Pro Super at a later date...
Will give my vintage Schick injector a try with Personna blades, and got my first Semogue & wooden handled brush - the baby SOC 1250
And thought the Musgo sounded interesting. Mossy?

Where do these stand in the Treet stable Paul compared to the TP? Have I imagined it or are they having a rejiggle of blades? Sure I read that somewhere

These are a non-platinum edged stainless ... like the old Trig or King blades. I'll know for sure once I've used one.

Not strictly a shaving purchases but Aleppo soap crops up on here a fair bit.
Got the last bar in a shop for £1.
The olive oil soap next to it was also a pound. Not sure if that's worth having but thought I'd take a punt.

Unlike some of the other Aramis soaps I've owned, this one produces a stable lather. I'm guessing it's tallow. I'm also guessing the set dates from the 80s?

Cant remember but it performs very well and no idea when made
