Acquisitions July 2026

Glad to be sharing my latest acquisition. This is my first Gillette New. Having tried Single Rings and a New Improved in the last year, I have been curious about how these shave in comparison.

Waited for the right set to come along. Needless to say on appearance alone I am very impressed.

I've not used the American version but I have the English one and it's an efficient beast, but with the right blade very smooth. One of my go to razors when I have a few days worth of growth.

Thank you @Sandpaper. It’s excellent.

I’m looking forward to trying it out with a few days’ growth. It was excellent today with 1 growth and a Super Blue blade on its 11th use: very smooth indeed!

Personna TTO

It carriesthe same angles on the head as the so-called BBS-0 (where did that ludicrous name come from?) also seen on the metal WIlkinson Sword Classic. Copied by Henson.

I've got the BBS-0 which I always forget to use, nice razor if my memory serves me right.

Is your one made in England, by I presume the Star factory right? Some of the Star Tech style razors go under the radar but they are excellent razors in the shave.
