Acquisitions 1st January to 31st January 2016

Received three metal Wilkinson Protectors this week.

Two are from the "Ethno design" line and as the name on the box indicates these are metal - so no lightweight, flimsy razor handles here
They are also not really that rare so I'm rather tempted to open them up for some shaves in the coming weeks:

The third one is a bit more rare James Bond 007 LE razor.
This one is for the movie "The world is not enough" and comes with a matching metal stand:

A rather nice trio to be added to my small Protector collection.

The James Bond one joins two others.
From left to right:
- The world is not enough,
- Tomorrow Never Dies, and
- Goldfinger

Three soap samples from ShaveDash. They even come with a spare sticker to stick on a tub that you've put the sample into - neat.
I've got:
  • Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary - to complement my SV soap week (SAW)
  • Stirling Ozark Mountain - to try a stronger fern scent
  • Cold River Soap Works Savon No. 1 - because I've been wanting to try CRSW

Received this small lot that I spent $15 on.

It contained;
- NIB Merkur MII (yet another one) with all the adapters, etc

- A NIB/NOS 'Pure bristle' Col Conk brush that seems terrible, and
- the pièce de résistance - a pewter shaving scuttle from Sheffield, England

As you can see by the scale provided by the brush next to it - the scuttle is rather small. Actually, to me a perfect size as I was a bit worried it would be much larger.
Very happy about the scuttle as really like both the look of it and the nice weight/quality of it. I guess those Sheffield lads knows a bit or two about metal working

Very cool score. I made contact with a gentleman who claims to have one? Can only hope its the other one... I'll keep you posted.
