Make sure the spring inside the head is perfect and level when you load the blade and top cap, check all gap level of aggression that the blade is level and even on both sides.

Wow spooky I've just ordered two of those exact heads ; they're due Thursday / Friday this week - correction they both just landed - talk about timing !
Mmmm Mellons and SLOC's - soon I'll have 14 on lots of different handle types; they're a very balanced design indeed invented in the mid 1940's by Joseph Mellon in America if I remember correctly.

I just got my first shaving soap in fifty years of shaving - honestly - the Red Figaro pot at the front middle and the big red TFS Italian block at the bottom right.
Plus got a few Middle Eastern frags and dupes and some Essential oils on back row plus synthetic fragrances for making my own frags plus Suneko top of the range SNK-0378 Platinums which are highly regarded and should be fine; I already have the cheaper Suneko Amorphous Diamond blades and they are fantastic.
The two cheapie black handled razors are just for my Yaqi black Mellon heads that are nearly here.

I'm a big fan of that TFS soap but just have a small tub. I think I paid £2.99 for a soap that performs incredibly well. I love it

Lovely Sandpaper - I just got a big one because it's my first one - ever.
I already have bath soap but have no idea how much - I've been on shaving forums for 18 months and overdone it a bit.
I'm guessing 250-300 full size 100 gram bars minimum and spent over 3 large on it - honest - I'm a big soap fan.
The stuff on the taps is Castile liquid soap which is great for shaving and the tall thin box is a 4lb loaf of Fer a Cheval 72%
Olive oil traditional Marseille dark green soap which is amazingly versatile, cleans thoroughly yet is very gentle on skin and
works very well for shaving too.I used it all the time living in France.
The cream coloured stuff on the top right is handmade American Rosemary soap and the green stuff on the left is
Turkish organic Lime glycerine soap and the brown translucent stuff next to it is organic Turkish Argan oil
glycerine soap.

It's a great choice. Initially I preferred Cella Red's scent and post shave feel but I now prefer the TFS. Wow - that is a lot of bath soap - at least you'll always be clean. I went overboard with Aleppo and Nablus Soap purchases so won't need to buy any more for years and I think some soaps get better with age

I have found with my Progress, it is really easy for the blade to be clamped up out of alignment, as the top cap and mechanism have some neccesary degree of looseness so I load a blade the following way, which seems to always work (appols for quick pics with no blade and dirty fingers
) Click on pics for bigger versions1) Put the blade in and top cap on, then hold the Progress as shown, with first two fingers under bottom plate
2) Get the top cap and blade edges positioned correctly with other hand, then carefully and slowly push right down on top cap with thumb, making sure that blade edges and cap stay correctly square and lined up
Hold it tightly pushed all the way down, whilst you fully screw home the adjuster to fully closed with the other hand - then its all clamped up squarely and ready to go.
When you are ready to shave just hold as normal and unscrew to desired setting as usual and the blade and top cap will still be lined up.

Yep totally agree mate - I got a lot because I give some away but people are busy and not been round to pick some up and help me make room in my little house.
I love Savon d ' Alep and Nabulsi because I lived in Egypt and the Middle East for ages and it's the best soap in the World IMHO.
I have 50% Laurel Aleppo that's 7 years old and 18 year old 70% Laurel Syrian soap and you're right it gets better with age like a fine wine or cheese.
The other one I love is Handmade Goat's Milk with Omani Royal green Hojari Frankincense soap which is divine and timeless.

Both Chinese SpeedyPC but excellent performance and consistent quality ; they last for 8-10 shaves easily and are very smooth by general consensus ; they're quite dear at £15 / 100 blades but well worth it IMHO.

The TOTR Suneko's have 3 different bezels and are great to shave in the bath with your eyes closed - safe as milk haha !

Not while you've got too many fraggy lying around the bloody house while your using the TOTR Suneko's, it's a total KABOOM!!
