Now that shooting season is over, and semi retirement in full swing I’m spending most of my time outside tidying things up meaning that my hands are in and out of salty water and constantly needing to be washed as a lot of deer are being processed. Any suggestions for hand creams that work well? My hands currently look like I fell off my bmx in 1987!

What brand of BMX did you have?

Neutrogena was on special offer a lot during 2025, picked some up myself

I think I got this one during Covid, just to counteract all the hand-washing

A chrome Falcon something, fell off that thing more times than I could count… hand still clicks from where I broke it !
For my birthday in 1982, I received a 1k Kuwahara. This was a special year as my parents were divorcing and we were being bribed. I joined one of the BMX leagues and at one point I was in the top 50. I saved a BMX newspaper or magazine which printed my high league position only for my brother to throw it away.

As a kid I from age 9--12 I had the early Huffy Dynamo BMX style made right after the early off road bike beach cruiser design but before the good Dynamo Mountain bike that actually had early front suspension, just before Huffy bought cheap Chinese parts, then just had custom painted/sticker on cheap Chinese bikes.

I also had the crappy 2000's era lawsuit era Huffy Dynamo hard tail mountain bike with the huge gaps in the frame and poor welds where people sued to get medical for using the bike as multiple horror stories of riders wreaking in simple wreaks but I stopped using the bike due to the welds. I tried to find the BMX or extender style seat when I was getting too big for the bike almost getting a seat post from Walmart but my parents got me the then in 2001 $110 Lawsuit era Dynamo that after 2008 welds were coming off and I rarely used the bike so we gave it to a scrapper for free in the early 2010 telling people on the very early Facebook marketplace to not use the bike ever.

I now have from my mom her old bike, some other early hard frame mountain bike from the 1990's that was a lighter weight steel frame 10 speed 2 x 5 or 12 speed 2 x 6 racing mountain bike I need to fix up putting on the foam innertubes to use the bike that is in great condition for over 30 years old. On my bike the seat post was changed to the standard straight from the BMX style.
