Chris, I'm so sorry. I can't even begin to imagine what you and yours are going through. We've had a terrible day today. We were burgled whilst in our house this morning. We live in a split level house and were all downstairs when some heartless individual entered our house, ransacked our bedroom and stole my wife's car. The belongings can be replaced but the feeling of violation, particularly with the kids in the house, is the worst thing. It happened in daylight hours ~8am as well.
I'm not sure why you all need to know this but being able to share it helps me cope somewhat.
So sorry to hear that. What on earth possesses some people is beyond comprehension! Let's hope Karma prevails. Take care all of you and stay safe. Kindest Regards BrianWe've had a terrible day today. Ah the British police, painstaking and implacable, hopefully they'll sort them out.Thank you for the kind words all. The Police have been absolutely outstanding and it's provided a sobering reminder of those out there still doing tough jobs whilst I've been safe in my bubble at home.
They found my wife's car and recovered it - just waiting on forensics to be completed now before we get it back. My wife has also deep cleaned our bedroom to help us get through the impact of it, if that makes sense. The value of items stolen is low but unfortunately included the watch my wife got me on our wedding day. The razors and soaps are safe though!
@merchant_seaman thank you. The car was recovered in Whitleigh but strangely has been recovered to Bodmin - @Blademonkey part of the world.
The police hub / headquarters at Bodmin contains all the specialist bods, it's not a walk in police station as such so that's why you car would have been taken there Chris. ...unfortunately, the law doesn't prescribe a suitable punishment for such crimes these days
