A project or not?

Bought this very cheaply on the bay and it arrived today. The intention was to cut my teeth on restoration without spending a lot but to be honest its in much better shape than I expected.

I've checked the blade against a ruler and as far as I can tell its not smiling or frowning and the blade's straight. Its quite firm in the scales which are in good nick, even the box is in good condition. Its ¾" round point black and the box is numbered 288134 any idea what age it would be roughly?

So far I've given it scrub, and its relatively free or corrosion but there are some water spots. I think a polish or rub with wet and dry would be wise then send it off to Neil for honing.

Am I missing anything?
