A mug for lathering

I'm currently looking for a large round mug like the one used in Mantics "How to build and aply traditional shaving lather" excellent video on you tube.

The closest thing I can think of is a large cappucino mug or a large soup mug. I've seen the very thing on Nannys soap site for £5 but it's £3.50 postage on top of that. I've tried Ikea and various charity shops to no avail. I have been using a ramekin but now that I have a fuller brush to use the ramekins no longer big enough. I'm hoping someone on here has found a cheap alternative. I want something with a handle on it rather than just a bowl.

Any suggestions?

Ikea do a range of wide opening coffee mugs which i used before i bought a scuttle. They did the job. failing that, as you said a cappuccino mug. It's the right season for carboot sales, so you will more than likely see some at them if nowhere else.

Fido purchased a few and this thread which may help you, have a read at this thread

The bowl here is now the only one I use. The dimensions are perfect for all my brushes.

Good luck if you can find one as big as you want with a handle. There really are a lot of good sized containers to be found in charity shops and car boot sales etc. But there are also a lot to be found among the cheaper goods in the High St. IKEA is always a good source.

Ok thanks for the suggestions. I've been in and out of charity shops and Ikea so my next stop is a local pottery shop to see how much it would be to have one made.

Fido - I've posted a card.

It is indeed a large cappucino mug in the video. Here is another video that might give you some additional ideas:
