I had a Rocco and sold because it was, wait for it, here it comes, too aggressive for me. It certainly seems great for others but not my face. All the reviews I've read so far have made the 3ONE6 sound very similar to the Rocca (which I cannot stand) so I decided to do a comparison...
Same geometry? Check.
Same blade gap? Check.
Same blade exposure? Check.
Same (lack of) blade clamping? Check.
For me I wanted to go for something more durable than Zamak. if it shaved better that was a bonus. It's a case of just because it's a stainless steel razor, doesn't mean it's any good!

I'm giving the stainless one a run when I return from holiday. Want to borrow my red one to see how you get on with it?All the reviews I've read so far have made the 3ONE6 sound very similar to the Rocca (which I cannot stand) so I decided to do a comparison...

It's nothing like as aggressive as the Rocca on my face?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love an SS DE89 head. The 3one6 becomes really smooth when riding the cap, even though this seems a little counter intuitive with the ribbed safety bar.I'm the first to admit I was hoping for a SS DE89. The EJ marketing spiel that there was 'minimum blade feel' pointed to a SS '89. I'm not saying we were deliberately misinformed, but they did point us In the wrong direction. I won't be buying anything else from them until the reviews are in.
