3one6 user experience

I'm surprised that you think there's a lot of blade feel. I think there's there's not much at all. YMMV of course.

Steve,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the 3one6 razor. I can't say that I notice blade feel but I do get some heat hitherto unknown to me, but no rash in any case. Maybe this is why I'm getting some nicks because there is more blade exposure than what I think there is. (Sorry to end with a preposition.)

This is a razor that you definitely want to adhere to the admonition of NO PRESSURE.

How does it shave? Worth buying one?
I've had a really good shave with it (details in SOTD). I'm glad I've purchased it. If you've got spare money kicking around to buy one, get one. Even if it's just for the looks and finish!! If you already have a Gamechanger and you're on a budget, I'd say you're not missing out on anything significantly different in terms of the shave - it would make a nice Christmas or birthday present in the future.

Small print: my opinion is based entirely on one shave!

Thanks. Ive acquired in the last month the RR gamechanger .84, Merkur slant and Fatip piccolo (yesterday) so I may buy in the future (or if I see one in the BST forum)

Glad your first 3one6 shave went well! Congratulations!

Now, for you and others, how do you shave with this razor and not get nicks? With my DE89 I have to try if I want nicked so I know I know how to shave. At least with the DE89, but I've shaved with my 3one6 5 mornings now I I have nicked myself every time.

This morning I got a bleeder and I didn't even feel the razor on my face. I've changed angles, pressures, etc but I cannot get a blood free shave with this razor. How do you do it? I really want to know because I really want to like and keep this razor.

Than you.

I think if I had used it like my DE89, I would probably have nicked myself. I actually kept your write-up in mind and just took a slow paced pressure free shave. I noticed how much growth the WTG pass took off and thought I could get away with an ATG pass and touch-ups.

Do you get your nicks when you're going in for touch-ups in certain areas or during the strokes of your passes?

Also, whilst I know you can never blame a blade, have you ever used a Gillette Silver Blue? They're my go to blade in any new razor. There's a reason they have a huge fan base. Could be worth giving one of those a try? I sometimes wonder of the psychology associated with using different blades subconsciously affects our technique.

The only Cardinal rule of shaving: NO PRESSURE. Shave off the lather, the stubble will follow.
