Centre of the storm passed over an Irish Met station earlier - 959hPa/mB!
Turns out this was slightly incorrect - it was actually 118.6 mph.

Not really, just in the Thames Barrier. A guy from the Environment Agency posted the image on Twitter - I googled 'NOA/IERSD Fcst dust' to see where it came from (I need to know things) once I saw what the dust did to the skies over London...Thanks for the link. I presume you're interested in meteorology?
Pretty academic distinction!Close enough
Ah, I see.Not really, just in the Thames Barrier. A guy from the Environment Agency posted the image on Twitter - I googled 'NOA/IERSD Fcst dust' to see where it came from (I need to know things) once I saw what the dust did to the skies over London...
It was quite impressive...
Stunning, and in full colour
You can really see how the structure changes from a barotropic one without fronts and with an obvious eye to a post-tropical baroclinic one with moving frontal zones, and also the way that it spreads-out, increasing in area.Stunning, and in full colour

Some blowy!
The worst is over now and you came through unharmed, thank goodness . Some Blowy probably sounded a little understated but Some Blowy down here is proper blowy! Take care.Had enough ' blowy ' during the night to spend most of it listening to the roof tiles clattering about. What was left of the gale was down to about 40/50 mph gusts this morning when I ventured out.
