Beau fine......
Aha - I don't mind the word tallow, just food references in my shaving soap. This is what I was referring to Paul. Trinity is a beautiful university, and definitely worth a visit by anyone in Dublin. But is it a bit religious - as a word - for some?

Well, growing up in Ireland, we often fried in lard and tallow, so it has a food reference to me.
I think dripping is more what you get in a roasting tin, fat and juices, whereas tallow is just the fat. Though to confuse things, Tesco sell their pure beef fat as beef dripping. Whatever, as you can fry in pure beef fat, and it is sold for this, it is surely a food item.I've heard of frying in lard or dripping but tallow is a new one on me.
