I've always enjoyed the lowly Gillette 365 and tonight was no exception ...
To my mind, the 365 is Gillette India's simple, no-frills, good, honest stainless blade; even the GWS has pretentions, thinking itself King of the Slums. It's basic. That said, my tuck is 13 Rs (for 5) compared to 24 Rs for a pack of 10 Gillette 7 O'Clock PermaSharp and 25 Rs for a pack of 10 Gillette Wilkinson Sword! Yes, 26 Rs (for 10) equivalent if you run out of fingers!
Hmmm ...
Packed in tucks of 5 I think indicates that the 365 is destined for the home shaver. It is still pretty low-brow and delivers a sharp and capable shave, and while I wouldn't say it's not smooth, more, it's not raw. Sharpness is akin to the Gillette 7 O'Clock PermaSharp or the various Super Stainless from SuperMax, but it's by no means as smooth as either class of blade.
If you hanker after a carbon-like shave from a stainless blade and can't quite handle the Shark Stainless, then this blade might well be the one for you.
Off the first shave, I can't quite give it an 8/10 where I've rated the Gillette 7 O'Clock PermaSharp and the majority of the various Super Stainless from SuperMax, nor quite give it a 7.9 which is what I've rated the very pedestrian Vidyut/SuperMax Economy Stainless. So, 7.8 for now.
I'll give it another run tomorrow, as second uses often produce a depth of character ...
