An excellent two pass shave this morning. First pass with the Progress set at 2 second pass at 4 giving a very smooth satisfying result. The Barrister and Mann Reserve Fern soap creates loads of fabulous lather, even with my hard water.

Eventually a BSS WTG with some discomfort, but to be expected from coaxing a 70 ish year old blade into life and yes I did have the mildest setting, the name’s hunt not c@#t.

* I got this razor from eBay in an unused condition the strop was so dry it looked like and felt like a thin strip of cardboard but not cracked or damaged, it’s a strip of pig skin, it has been saved and now is a fully working strop.
The shave was only to test out the blade restoration but I decided to try a shave, frequent re stropping sessions revealed a sharp blade not 100% yet, but getting there.

Me personally I’m jinxed in the way of owning a “ I’ll get that just incase we have a nuke war, and at least I’ll be able to have a shave!!” Yes and unfortunately you twat! your probably going to be dead within a few seconds after the first strike! Sorry what? your going to hide under the kitchen table and will be totally safe, Ok, you do that.

On the upside if you are lucky enough to be safely tucked away in a nuke proof bunker I can see the benefits of owning such a razor for extremities, coz your not going to pop out to the shop an buy a pack of blades any time soon, and it sure beats shoving a pencil up a rats asshole and using that to chew off the beard

Enjoy your day Gentlemen.

This OSP Old Gold scent really comes to life when lathered. The B&M Reserve Spice compliments it perfectly as obviously here in the New World we cannot have alcohol AS's shipped from the U.K. and no one on this forum has offered to "keister stash" one on a flight over here for me. ;)

SMN Cream
Brad Sears Gonzo30
Merkur Futur
Lada SS #1
Thayers cucumber witch hazel

Did a head shave first followed by a face shave, the brush knot is truly awful doughnuting and not producing a lather of any quality; therefore I’m going to replace it for a synthetic later this spring. The shave was decent avoiding irritating a area of weepers from my previous shave followed by a liberal splash of the witch hazel on bonce and face. Right because it’s a sunny afternoon and the grass not too wet I’ll give the back lawn a light trim at it’s highest setting to take the worst off ready for a lawn treatment next month!

Three sound shaves with this Zorrik Supreme blade which is chromium plated and as such delivered smooth, keen and consistent shaves. The only comment that I could make about this blade is that it is entirely uneventful and devoid of character. You just get a clean and smooth shave without drama. Entirely neutral. That's in a good way, naturally ...

I took three consistent shaves with this blade; I think it would go on for four with the same consistency. I've turned it in and tomorrow, I'll be moving on to the SuperMax Sunrise Super Stainless, so fingers crossed for the gold blade!

Despite the blade being on its 8th outing it performed rather well , as I did not rush the Shave. Not only was the finish good, but i had the added bonus of a haircut delivered by my son who works from Home.

Not used the SV 70th anniversary in a while excellent shave 2 passes lots of touch ups getting closer with less irritation after tips on one of Lynn Abrams videos on angle on the neck and pulling the skin slightly sideways for those awkward angles has really helped. Learning more with each shave and loving the journey 5F8C2C57-2563-4F68-B9D2-179E48A2CDF7.jpeg
