And the theme for this particular shave was '7, 8, 9'
No.7 - Gillette 7 O'Clock blade
No.8 -
@James Riley soap
No.9 - Gillette Fat Boy from the pass around set on No.9
No.30 - Cadman 30mm Tuxedo
So I thought I'd start this shave with a small video clip of some nice girls dancing on a beach wearing real swimwear. As against to thongs which are a little like receiving a birthday present with the corner ripped away so you already know the contents.
In between those SOTD's I managed to annoy you all with this past week I have in the main been using the pass around Fat Boy. A cracking little razor delivering perfection with consumate ease and minimal effort. The 7 O'Clock being a perfect match.
As perfect as it is I still don't see the advantage of an adjustable. Most of my shaves have seen me crank it up to 9 and leave it there. I can't see any reason why I'd want to change the setting. There must be some great advantage in it, but I just fail to understand. And to some extent may be I don't want to understand and may be I am a one size fits all man.
No.9 it was and No.9 it remained. Despite being a bit of a protagonist to adjustable I will say this No.9 setting is quite aggressive and I find it ticks all my boxes. What it does achieve is to deliver wonderfully smooth shaves with a real sense of security. The end results are absolutely stonking and has one stroking ones face just to check this is for real.
On an end note as to the razor, the mechanics and build quality are first class and for a razor pushing over 60 years it is so lovely to use something which was obviously made to last and has proved a point.
@James Riley . What a man at cooking up one brilliant soap/cream after another. This No.8 is no different. Even though I found out the Razorock 400 makes for less effort the Cadman doesn't shy away from whipping up one beautiful and lasting lather. Thick, Creamy and just a peach to use. It lasts the whole shave and some. The scent I am quite sure is quite close to the Alvarez Gomez Magnolia Blanca and just happens to be what I look for in a fragrance. I am not really in to the heavy masculine scents and more light, slightly sweet and flowery.
As a soap up there with the best and played its part in what was one most delightful shave with a delightfully smooth finish. Only these pretty ladies showing the full benefits of movement due to not having bits of string wedged between their butts are smoother
Have a great week ahead everyone.
Very fitting towards my theme I leave you with these pretty little Japanese babes who you are possibly a little more familiar with
