Mr Bunny very kindly offered me some M&M soap samples with a recent purchase, I've been interested in this brand since I first saw it's cool artwork (yeah I'm a tart) well 3 samples arrived today...Trinity, Triskele & Naid.
I'll briefly give my opinions on the scents:
Trinity is the obligatory Aventus clone and it's a decent one as far as they go, identical to Fine's interpretation to my nose but that's going from memory.
Triskele is apparently their take on a "barbershop scent" - It smells identical to B&M Classic Reserve.
Naid is freesia and apricot, all I get is a sweet artificial fruity scent, reminds me of Hubba Bubba gum.
All of the scents are very sickly sweet to my nose and register around 5/10 on the strength scale.
The products consistency is that of a dense cream, I think calling it a soap is very misleading, it's much softer than equivalent B&M or NO which are more like putty in comparison, as such loading was very easy... In fact I imagine overloading could be a potential issue. A rich, dense, shiny lather was built in no time, the shave went without incident though I did notice a lack of both slickness and residual slickness compared to the Extro I've been using. Post shave my face is dry and tight, something all these US artisan soaps do to me so not surprised but there we are...
Massive thanks to Paul for giving me the opportunity to try these, much appreciated though I will not be pursuing this brand any further.
