Well done Carl for giving up, hope it's going well. Well done also Nishy, I too gave up the week before Christmas last, I don't miss it at all and am glad to be in control of myself again, it does feel good.
I had no idea though that so many people still use and enjoy snuff. I was reading an old book the other night about how snuff was introduced to the UK and the different qualities available. It mentioned one fake snuff called London Snuff that was sold in amongst good snuff and by using ladies of the night to offer it to the sailors in pubs. Hate to think what this stuff did to the nasal system.
There was a snuff called Nosegay, the reason this struck a cord with me was because I have also been doing some research of old colognes and there was one called Nosegay. I also discovered a couple of references from the early Victorian period that flower posies were called Nosegay.
Most people reading this must be thinking what the hell is he going on about. I will cut to the chase. I was talking to a perfume house who Wickham Soaps will be doing business with, I mentioned some of the things I had been reading and the scent called Nosegay. Oddly they had an old formula for a scent called Nosegay and they have made me some up to test with Wickham Super Smooth. I received it today and was wondering if it could be what was used to scent the Nosegay Snuff.
Is there anyone here who would like a 25g Super Smooth sample of this? If so PM me, the only thing I ask is that you cover the postage, I have enough for around 6 samples to be made. So first come first served.
