"Silver Star" blades by Lord

One last little plug in that today I used it for its 3rd shave, but on a 2 day beard in a RR GC .68. Soap was the original Kaizen. Superb shave!! It's as least as good as their Lord Plat and Super Chrome. This would make an excellent 100 blade buy for an economical shaver.

Glad I bought a tuck. (y)

I dug out my last new Lord Super Chrome blade today on a whim and after a shave I can unequivocally state that IMO it is NOT the same as this Silver Star. The latter is a better blade IMO. I will try soon to use a Lord Platinum as I have tuck buried away. Needless to say, this Silver Star intrigues me.

I found both the Lord and Shark Chrome to feel very neutral - they just didn't want to tell me what their overriding characteristic was. Smooth and sharp, yes, but neither really leaping out. Good shaves, nevertheless. The Silver Star immediately announced that it was a sharp blade and that I should expect a good, close shave; no pomp or ceremony. Just stainless and a squirt of teflon.

Ok gang, today I used a new Lord Platinum blade in my trusty English post-war Tech and a Palmolive stick. Great shave and to my face it shaved exactly like the Silver Star. I could discern no difference. Zero. YMMV. Buy whichever is cheaper if so inclined.

A few more Lord blades or maybe package re-designs have appeared...I have not searched for a retailer yet, but will give them a try in due course...

I do keep meaning to try my packs of Blue Sword. Those OK blades are new to me ... another one for the list. Cheers!

I have not found a retailer yet, keep coming up with Dungeon and Dragon references :) ; I am wondering if the OK blades are market specific, no doubt, they will appear at the usual places in time...
