Turning today created this handle from an beauty of a blank..... leads to knot transplant time.... into its new temporary home....how long will it last.

99% finished just needs a final polish then set the 24m silvertip into it, then drill the razor stand to suit whichever razor

Quick play on the lathe with a resin pen blank for a new handle for my Gibbs, should have painted the brass insert white first. Bought this razor with no handle and it was out of shape, spent some time getting it to close evenly and it still shaves brilliantly.

Black Palm Wood, one of the most difficult woods I have worked with yet, the way it grows it just wants to rip apart and throw bit chips at you, but stick with it and it looks lovely when finished from the long streaks down the side to dots in the grain at the ends. I think this is going to look amazing when final coating is applied.
