I thought it might be interesting for some, so I will try to share with you what it was like working on a movie, I've been in more than one, so in this instance, the one in the title.
Please bare with me, as I have no phone line or internet and this is being sent on my mobile data!
I worked and lived in the Caribbean for more than 20yrs as a charter yacht captain and at the time the movie was being made, I was also based on the same island, on the island of St.Vincent.
I heard that Disney was making the film there and went for a part, they cast me as a Commodore and told me I would also stand in for Norrington when they were setting up any wet or muddy scenes, to get all the camera angles right, this was because when they filmed the shot, he had to start out dry and clean!
Like I said, if it was a daylight shoot, we had to be there at 5am, shave, then off to wardrobe and makeup. Now, I hope this doesn't come across to pervy, but the first thing the makeup girls did, was run their hands over your face to check that the shave was close enough, if not you had to do it again.
But me and my deck hand from my boat crew, found out that if you made a really bad job of it, the makeup girls would then save you! It was a really nice way to start the day.
The first photo is me, ready for the set, the second is a shot for the makeup girls coming round every few minutes touching up makeup, my mate is the marine on the left.
The third photo is a shot taken on set, I'm in the background on the far left.
