I hope I will be able to shave myself untill the end but if I could not something to make it easier for someone else to do it for me must be a good thing, I've never shaved anyone else's face before but can imagine it to be quite difficult so well done Gillette.
Win/win market move.
I applaud the motive for this, but they're fibbing when they say that 0 razors had been designed for shaving others.
At least this time Gillette appear to be showing some innovation rather than just shoe-horning another blade in there.
They could almost get away with this is the first razor designed for civilian use for shaving othersI applaud the motive for this, but they're fibbing when they say that 0 razors had been designed for shaving others.

Good pointDoes the kamisori being used to shave monks count as civilian?
Not really clerics and medics don't fit that classification, plus the kamisori wasn't exclusively created for shaving others was it?Does the kamisori being used to shave monks count as civilian?

You are correct, having spent over an hour reading everything points to it originally being used to shave others (monks and samurais) but then moving to a self shaving as well.I admit that I'm shaky on the history of the kamisori, but I was only aware of it being used by monks and samurai both of whom were typically shaved by someone else. I thought that was the reason for the chisel grind as it was intended to be used in one hand with the same side against the skin.
I am quite prepared to be corrected though as straight shaving is way too scary for me so I'm far from an expert.
